Talsit Enterprises: Your Overlanding Equipment Supplier

The heart of the company is that we are overlanding enthusiasts, take pleasure in participating in the industry, and pride in providing products and services that

facilitate the exploration and enjoyment of overland travel experienced by our customers. We focus on equipment and solutions that stand the test of actual back country use where failures in remote travel generate real-world risks. We design and test our products and services in our own adventures across the Kentucky and Ohio region as well as remote travel in the great Southwest.

Talsit Enterprises: Your Overlanding Equipment Supplier

Five years ago, we started building one truck that would actually work in the backcountry. Word spread fast among real overlanders who were tired of pretty gear that broke when they needed it most. That's how Talsit Enterprises began in Augusta, Kentucky – not as another fabrication shop, but as builders who understood the difference between looking capable and being capable.

We're overlanders first, fabricators second. Every piece of overlanding equipment we create gets tested on our own adventures before it goes to a customer. This approach has connected us with serious adventurers across Kentucky, Ohio, and beyond who need overlanding accessories that work, not gear that looks good parked at the coffee shop. When your equipment becomes part of your survival strategy miles from help, you want builders who've been in those same situations.

Why Choose Talsit: Real Overlanding Equipment for Real Adventures

We want to help our customers make gear work—weather it is gear we built or gear from another supplier. Manufacturers do not design around an industrywide standard, so an awning from company X might not fit a bed rack from company Y using standard (read generic) mounts. We spend a good deal of time building solutions that integrate various components to form a robust system that can be trusted when tens of miles away from help. We have the equipment and design capabilities to produce custom bespoke solutions that fit your particular equipment and setup. Since we build our products in our Augusta, KY facility, we can adapt our solutions to integrate with the equipment you already have. We can fit any awning to one of our bed racks on any platform you choose. We can also design in safety factors that address your particular type of travel (e.g., 400 lb dynamic load rating for a luggage rack). We build drawer and storage solutions, electrical systems, vehicle modifications, and overlanding gear to suit how you travel in your vehicle with your gear.

Services: Custom Overland Gear Builds That Actually Work

We provide a wide range of services from straightforward vehicle upfitting through ground up overland vehicle builds. We have design and production capabilities that allow us to manage quality in house across the spectrum of engineering,

design, manufacturing, and testing. We have the capabilities to bring you design ideas to life and the experience to implement your vision with proven design solutions earned through real world testing. We pride ourselves on the practice of providing honest estimates of build complexity and cost as well as the presentation of alternatives and the tradeoffs among them.

Service Areas: Overland Gear in Kentucky, Ohio, and Beyond

From the rolling hills overlooking the great Ohio River, we serve overlanders throughout the tri-state area. Located in Augusta, KY, we are a reasonable Saturday morning drive from Lexington, Louisville, and the Cincinnati area and a medium jaunt from Indianapolis. We also ship our products across the country.

Our Process: From Idea to Trail-Ready

We encourage customers to familiarize themselves with how others have built overlanding solutions on the platform of choice (e.g., Jeep Gladiator, Tacoma, etc.) and to consider the expected type of travel, terrain, and trip duration. We then consult with customers about which design approaches to consider along with the tradeoffs and costs involved with each. We prefer a collaborative approach that is tailored to the type of travel, comfort threshold, and budget of the customer.

We remain collaborative across the build cycle and encourage customer input from initial design through testing of the final solution. We attempt to remain nimble throughout the process to adapt to feedback from the customer as the build comes to life and responsive tocustomer feedback once the solution has been put to the test.

Build Better with Overlanding Equipment from Talsit

A key design consideration at Talsit is that the equipment and solutions we produce deliver on the trail. A failure on a remote trip is at best a few hours wasted in repair efforts and at worst and end of the trip along with a huge invoice from a recovery company. While we all appreciate a great looking rig, we believe reliability in performance to be the primary design criterion. Further, we believe robust design is its own and more worthwhile aesthetic.
