OUR BEGINNINGS

The founders of Talsit share a common theme—a passion for exploring and love of the outdoors. We started, as many do, with the occasional camping trips, and as the years piled on, we came to appreciate the silence and simplicity of the remote traveling experience. We built our own rigs (multiple times, sure), and helped our friends build rigs, and discovered a friendly community of like-minded travelers. As enthusiasts ourselves, we take great pleasure in what we do at Talsit, helping our customers enjoy the great outdoors.

As an example, one of the founders is obsessed with dark-sky photography, which requires the most remote locations, far from city light pollution. Shown on the left is a photograph of one of our overlanding trips to a Bortle 3 sky zone with the Milky Way in the background.
